PJT Memorial Foundation
The PJT Memorial Foundation was incorporated in July of 2011. The foundation serves as an eternal tribute to the life of Paul Jacob (PJ) Trendowicz. PJ passed away in a tragic swimming accident on August 13th, 2002. To continue his legacy, PJ's friends organize and host a charitable golf tournament and silent auction every summer. The successes of the annual event lead to the official formation of the PJT Memorial Foundation, Inc. Raising and then distributing up to $10,000 annually, the PJT Memorial Foundation seeks to support those charities whose mission coincides with Paul’s commitment to community service, youth outreach and local sports. Past recipients of the funds raised are Charlestown Lacrosse and Learning Center, Camp Fatima, The Appalachian Service Project, Toys for Tots, and The McClune family from Pembroke, MA who needed a handicapped accessible ramp built on their home. Our logo, the number "21" was the number Paul wore for the Boston College High School Lacrosse team. In his senior year, PJ was voted the team's Unsung Hero for his steadfast leadership and teamwork. His number 21 has since been retired at BC High. 21 lives forever at his Alma Mater, and in the hearts of his family and friends.
